Why do you want to serve as an Expert Evaluator for the Localism Fund?

I want to serve as an Expert for the Localism Fund because I’ve dedicated the past years to working with rural and Indigenous communities in the Colombian Amazon, focusing on education, ecological regeneration, and community empowerment. Through ReFi Amazonas, I’ve helped develop projects that restore degraded ecosystems, promote local resilience, and integrate regenerative practices. I believe my experience bridging local action with Web3 tools can contribute meaningfully to the Fund’s mission of strengthening credible, place based networks.

Experiences, Highlights & Evidence:

I’ve been deeply involved in regenerative education and local grant-supported projects through my work with ReFi Amazonas, ReFi Bogotá, and ReFi Colombia, where I currently manage communications and contribute to project coordination and community engagement.

Within ReFi Amazonas, we organize environmental education workshops in schools and reforestation activities with native plants to regenerate degraded ecosystems in the Amazon. These initiatives have been partially supported by community-driven grants and participatory funding programs. You can find some of these activities documented here: https://www.instagram.com/refiamazonas/ on Instagram.

In ReFi Colombia, I collaborate closely with 0xj4n, who recommended me for this role. Together, we’ve worked on several initiatives that connect local regenerative projects with the global ReFi ecosystem. I also contribute as a member of the ReFi DAO, participating in discussions around funding mechanisms for public goods and decentralized governance.
